What to expect/The process
The process
Consultation and patch test: We discuss what you’re looking for, your taste, style and goals, as well as any medical considerations for the procedure.
First session: We map your brows, and make sure you’re happy with the shape before we start tattooing.
Top up session: 4-12 weeks after the first session, we do a top up to ensure longevity.
Pre-care and aftercare
Before your appointment
There are a few things to think about before your treatment to ensure the best results:
Avoid using retinol for a week leading up to the appointment so that your skin is in good condition and heals well
Don’t drink alcohol the night before- alcohol dilates your capillaries, affecting the end result
Likewise- avoid caffeine on the day of your appointment. Caffeine also dilates your capillaries, affecting the end result
Medical effects on tattooing: First off, tattooing is very safe and hygeinic- especially when following all the right procedures! However, since it does involve breaking the skin, there are some cases where extra precautions are needed. During your consultation, I’ll ask whether you take certain medications or are on medical treatment plans that can affect the tattooing procedure. In some cases, approval from your doctor may be needed. In some circumstances, tattooing might not be right for you at this time. We’ll discuss this in a private environment.
After your appointment
Help your brows heal beautifully by doing these things:
Avoid submerging your brows in water for 2 weeks. This means avoid putting your head below the water if you’re swimming, and keeping your brow area out of the direct stream of the shower
To clean your brows, dap them gently with moist cotton pads - don’t rub or scrub them until they’ve fully healed
